Senior Regional Supply Chain Planner (Materials) (MNC/1 yr contract/$9400)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

SUPPLY PLANNING AND PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT:

  • Work with RDC Secondary Packaging team to determine short and mid term demand for packaging materials and semi-finished goods based on secondary packaging schedule.
  • Play a major hands-on role in the overall secondary packaging material and semi-finished goods availability with the goal of meeting affiliate PO.
  • Analyses demand forecast, purchase and procure packaging materials and semi-finished goods to meet work order packaging schedule and ensure appropriate inventory level are met and expediting as needed.
  • Creates the orders based on suppliers transportation requirements and purchasing requirements (minimums, lead times, order levels, etc.).
  • Monitor incoming shipments to ensure on time delivery, keep RDC operations team updated on incoming shipments.
  • Develop recovery plans on potential stock-outs due to under-forecasting or late deliveries or change regulatory and artwork timeline.
  • Addresses issues with packaging material with suppliers, including quality, quantity and scheduling are on track.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains department reports as required by management utilizing appropriate system and worksheets.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Assess current inventory levels of packaging materials and semi-finished goods at RDC and determine the appropriate quantity and timing for phase-in and phase-out.
  • Determine the potential write-offs and manage all rejected/non-conforming/excess material through the SLOB & Write-off Process.
  • Performs monthly inventory reconciliations to ensure inventory in planning system tallies with CMO/CPO inventory report, investigates and take corrective actions as needed for cases of discrepancies.

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP & MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT 

  • Track and reports vendor performance and collaborate with vendors on supply issue.
  • Assess and mitigate supplier risks and report/highlight findings
  • Provide first level contact for items related to master data element and parameter maintenance.
  • Review, collect, update and maintains material master including material master, price update, vendor and customer master creation etc in ERP system.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, Supplier Management, Production planning or related field
  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain and Material Management Systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain Planning / Inventory Management experience in the healthcare / pharma related business.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing, Distribution and Project management is highly desirable.
  • Basis understanding and working knowledge of international business and pharmaceutical cGMP and GDP regulations.
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • CMO environment with procurement experience (have worked with or in) is a plus.
  • APICS Certification (CSCP or CPIM) is a plus
