Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of program interconnections across business units and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to enhance operational performance, continuously monitor their effectiveness, and assess outcomes.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) and ad hoc initiatives aimed at workplace safety enhancement, automation, process optimization, Kaizen bursts, value stream mapping, quality improvement, productivity enhancement, data analytics, and storage optimization.
  • Oversee short (6 months) to long-term (10 years) implementation planning timelines for projects.
  • Engage customers through CIPs, project-related activities, and Operational Excellence (OpEx) meetings.
  • Establish, implement, maintain, and refine LEAN system methods, tools, and standards across all value stream sections.
  • Support and lead LEAN work practices, including 6S methodologies and root cause analysis, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster maximum employee involvement and engagement in change projects to cultivate a culture that embraces change.
  • Challenge conventional methods and assist business unit leaders in driving CIPs focused on waste elimination.
  • Manage multiple CIPs and ad hoc projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelors degree in a relevant field with a background in logistics
  • Six Sigma (Black Belt) certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in LEAN, 6S, Standardized Work, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Kaizen, with evidence of delivering sustainable results through Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs).
  • Strong leadership abilities and understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Ability to translate operational information into understandable terms for non-operational personnel.
  • Customer service skills coupled with diplomacy and street smarts for navigating challenging situations.
  • Ability to develop mid-term and long-term strategies for operations, safety, quality, training, and costing.
  • Proficiency in project management, including meeting deadlines and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a curious mindset.
