You will be part of the Portfolio team overseeing the value chain optimisation of the Energy markets group and will be required to perform market data analysis to construct financial and forecasting models.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses including competitors study, forecast of electricity consumption and projection of power prices
• Develop strategy for electricity trading and hedging, conduct post mortem analysis on performance
• Prepare daily estimated Gross Margin performance, highlighting key events or trading activities and prepare month end accruals to Finance
• Analyse and interpret fundamentals on power, foreign exchange, and fuel and gas prices, using these as inputs to develop longer term electricity prices
• Involved in the budgeting process which entails cost, profitability management and cash flow projection

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering / Statistics / Finance or Business with preferably 1 year of relevant experience
• Competency in simulation modelling, data and financial analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel (preferably with VBA)
• Independent and self-motivated team player with excellent technical learning abilities
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
