Responsibilities:

Financial Controlling & Steering

• Provide accurate verbal and written commentary on monthly developments to keep management informed of business results.
• Review and analyse the company's operating expenses and project budgets and communicate deviations to operative departments.
• Analyse monthly data to identify any abnormalities, trends or developments on the business performance and proactively advise senior management and other departments of any required action.
• Steer the profitability of the company, by supporting the monthly pricing committee meeting and maintaining the base interest rate for various products in conjunction with the sales department.
• Coordinate and provide inputs to MY FC in addressing Singapore funding and market risk management topics.
• Review the companies operating expenditure and project controlling, assist in steering the company towards its overall financial targets and review calculated business cases on ad hoc projects by MY FC Ensure transparency about financial effects of all business activities; perform financial evaluation for decision-making and achievement of targets (profitability, efficiency, effectiveness).
• Prepare recommendations for management, based on portfolio trend analysis, and steer business enhancements.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Propose and discuss planning assumptions with the management team, instruct MY FC to prepare simulation of different planning scenarios, ensure all inputs and outputs are aligned with each other and consolidate all information into a most-likely planning scenario.
• Review and initiate amendment where appropriate, the monthly forecasts, by working closely with department heads in forecasting their department's expectations and summarising these inputs into one interlinked most-likely scenario.

Risk Management

• Supervise preparation of the RV Setting Papers and responsible for the Residual Value Meetings with brand partner and local Residual Value Committee.
• Supervise and responsible of periodic local and HQ updates of Return of Risk Adjusted Capital (RORAC) pricing tool, including annual recalibration of risk-related parameters of the pricing tool.
• Supervise optimization of local pricing tool changes and residual value processes.

Sales & Marketing Support

• Acts as finance business partner and works closely with the sales department, having a service mentality but also challenges them, asks questions, and understands their customer and priorities.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative information and recommendations in the decision-making process of launching, halting or discontinuing new and existing products and campaigns.

MY Cluster and HQ Collaboration and Communication

• Continuous co-ordination and proactive communication with offshore back office functions and management based in MY, & HQ in the overall steering and management of the business.

Management of the Business

• Deputy to the offshore Chief Financial Officer based in MY in relation to the Singapore business.
• Develop and propose measures to maximize profit situation and achieve optimum financial position of the companies.
• Key player in local market strategy development and execution.
• Jointly responsible for stakeholder management of brand partners, dealers, other external business partners, HQ Manage and monitor assets and liabilities.
• Contribute to making the company a Great Place to Work in line with the latest GPTW survey results.

Qualifications

• Accounting or business university degree or equivalent qualification CPA or equivalent preferred Minimum 8 years of finance and controlling experience in a managerial position in a MNC, preferably in banks or financial institutions.
• Good in MS office software i.e. Excel & Word.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Great knowledge of automotive finance products
