Responsibilities:

• Provide cost estimation for Mechatronics/ PCBA / Cables/ E&E modules.
• Support R&D in selecting components/ Source include recommendations on potential new technologies for the purpose.
• Monitor procurement processes as well as control of resources and activities in support of quality, cost, and delivery requirements at NPI projects.
• Support product cost optimization at the management of procurement in key areas such as strategies, supplier selections, inquiries, negotiations, and drift cost calculations.
• Coordination between internal and external stakeholders with selected suppliers on necessary technical information, etc drawings, data sheets, STEP files, to ensure the alignment in costing and delivered materials.
• Recommend the promotion of material status from stages of manufacturing freeze until series.
• Organize for design to cost (DTC) or cost reduction processes via structural cost analyses.
• Support Advanced Purchaser/ Operative Purchaser in event of escalations during material orders/ deliveries and complex engineering changes. This will include direct supplier coordination/ communications.
• Knowledge transfer to commodity managers of materials from prototype to production stage.
• Execute assignments from the managers

Requirements:

• Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or any related discipline

• Experience from Original Equipment Manufacturer or Contract Manufacturer will be added advantage, preferably with R&D background
• Strong communications and presentation skills
• Possess project management experience especially on PCBA
• BOM / Costing / Engineering analysis
• Supply chain management and leadership skills
