Chemical Technicians x4 (Contract / 12hr and day shift)

Responsibilities

  • Operates, controls and monitors production and utility units through DCS control system and in the field in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Conducts in-process quality control.
  • Carries out material handling activities, both raw materials receipt and final product packaging.
  • Carries out waste management activities on site.
  • Assist in carrying out HSES and PSM-related duties designed to be of Chemical Technicians job scope and responsibilities.
  • Take ownership of the plant performance. Ensure production and consumption of area of responsibility is at target and perform prioritized tasks.
  • Supports team colleagues to achieve their target and to resolved problems in a safe and efficient way using available standards
  • Be part of Plant Emergency Response Team
  • Adherence to individual and shared targets (volume, consumption, tasks)
  • Execution of production tasks and prioritized tasks; timely intervention upon deviation.
  • Gap resolution and recording for own area, planned versus actual production performance

Requirements

  • Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC with Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience as a Chemical Technician with a petrochemical / chemical / pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Singapore.
  • Hands-on line, field experience in chemical process operations is essential
  • Good working experience in areas like safety, occupational health, quality, environment, logistics and maintenance.
  • HSE and Quality minded attitude.
  • Knowledge of product quality control techniques is an advantage.
  • Competency in HAZMAT and fire-fighting is an advantage.
  • Having a forklift driving license is an advantage.
