Sr Biomedical Engineer

 Job Description:

Provide technical support for 4 to 5 DCs. Responsible for safe, effective and economical management of Biomedical engineering services.

Main Responsibilities

Planned Preventive Maintenance

  • To ensure that RO system and other biomedical equipments are regularly maintained (min two PPM/year) to meet the required level of performance to minimize the equipment breakdown rate.

Quality control of Treated water:

  • To ensure that the treated water is safe for patient treatment and meet the required standards. (Perform two monthly/six monthly water sample)

Equipment Breakdown Service

  • To ensure all the biomedical equipments and RO system are serviced properly before put in to use after a breakdown service
  • To ensure the availability of the equipment when required for its applicable function. Ensure two standby machines ready for use at all the time.

Clinical Staff Training

  • To educate all the clinical staff on machine function, water treatment and other biomedical Equipments.

Additional Role

Take additional responsibilities as per HODs instruction. Take additional responsibilities as per HODs instruction. If any, paper presentation, technical case studies.

Off Duty work

  • RO maintenance work on Sundays (Max 2 Sundays /month) and on-call service for the assigned DCS after office hours and public holidays.

Qualification (Related Field)

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years full time Diploma/ Degree in Bio-Medical / Medical Technology / Electrical / Electronics / Bio-Technology or relevant studies.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of work relevant engineering experience in Dialysis Therapy and Water treatment system.
  • Additional exposure to Medical Equipment Maintenance and Industrial training is desirable.
