Buyer (JDE / West / Manufacturing)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process efficiently from planning to issue of purchase orders to divisions.
  • Co-ordinate with warehouse & logistics to resolve inventory discrepancies, both inbound and
  • outbound reconciliation and inventory returned to division.
  • All open orders are to be monitor, follow-up and expedited as per customer request date.
  • All delays in the deliveries are to be communicated to relevant customer services/ Dept timely on weekly basis.
  • Resolve on all discrepancies of shipments shortage/access with Division.
  • Monitor and control the purchasing price and freight saving cost measurement.
  • Achieve inventory reduction, monitor, and manage inventory turns to meet annual target
  • Sourcing for short LT and better intercompany price for projects-based orders
  • Co-ordinate with finance to resolve supplier invoice discrepancy.
  • Maintaining optimum level of stock buying ensuring that inventory will not increase excessively.
  • Working closely with customer services and update on all procurement situations and monitor closely on demand planning in JDE system for shortage and reorder report.
  • Manage Supplier performance expectations by reviewing their delivery performance
  • Perform new item creation and ensuring all fields are updating as per Item Master
  • Identify area of improvement process and formulate plans via 10 steps problem solving tools, form team to work on it, develop standard work and drive planning effectiveness.
  • Ensure all PO are entered to Division accurately and acknowledged and all Pricing information on the Purchase Orders are up-to date.
  • New vendor creation in system
  • Others ad hoc request from manager

Requirements

  • Min Diploma with experience in Supply Chain, preferably in MNC or manufacturing environment and at least 2 to 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Previous hands-on experience in Procurement and purchasing replenishment is preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and Microsoft application computer knowledge (must have experiences in pivot & vlookup)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure as well as strong adaptability to react fast on dynamic business change within company.
  • Ideal with a working knowledge of industrial related product.
  • Independent, organized & able to work under minimal supervision.
  • People oriented personality and be able to work in a team effectively and a participative team player.
