Position: Operations Planner

Report to Logistics Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Scheduling and Planning:
   • Create detailed production schedules based on project deadlines.
   • Coordinate workflows to ensure timely completion of engineering, procurement, and manufacturing tasks.
   • Adjust schedules to address unforeseen delays, changes in project scope, or resource constraints.
2. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
   • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely readiness of BOM and address any issues that arise.
   • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
   • Monitor manufacturing progress and address any bottlenecks or issues.
3. Material and Resource Planning:
   • Forecast material and resource needs based on project requirements.
   • Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet production demands without overstocking.
   • Collaborate with purchaser to manage lead times and ensure on-time delivery of critical components.
4. Project Progress Monitoring:
   • Track the progress of engineering, procurement, and manufacturing activities against schedules.
   • Identify potential delays and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
   • Report project status updates to stakeholders.
5. Process Optimization:
   • Continuously improve production planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
   • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows and resource utilization.
   • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
6. Quality and Compliance:
   • Ensure that all production activities comply with safety and quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
   • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any non-conformities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in an ETO or custom manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and custom product lifecycle management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in production planning tools and software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems).
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and technical specifications would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Soft Skills:
  • Proficient in English
  • Ms. office and data management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
