Finance Manager
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee daily financial operations, including control, analysis, and reporting activities.
- Supervise all core finance functions: expense monitoring, general ledger, cash flow, banking, foreign exchange exposure, AR/AP, fixed assets, inventory, credit control, and taxation.
- Review and ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Analyze monthly financial performance in line with management and group reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all financial records comply with IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
- Establish appropriate reserves and accruals in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Manage the completion of statutory and group audits in collaboration with external auditors.
- Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and ensure timely filing of GST and Corporate Tax.
- Respond to inquiries and questionnaires from IRAS and other regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on developments in IFRS, Singapore tax, and accounting regulations.
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Provide expert advice and technical guidance on financial matters to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Communicate proactively and consistently with Headquarters and subsidiary offices on financial performance and operational matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of full-spectrum accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a multinational company environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
- Strong understanding of Singapore accounting and taxation standards.
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
