Finance Manager

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including control, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Supervise all core finance functions: expense monitoring, general ledger, cash flow, banking, foreign exchange exposure, AR/AP, fixed assets, inventory, credit control, and taxation.
  • Review and ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance in line with management and group reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review management reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all financial records comply with IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Establish appropriate reserves and accruals in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage the completion of statutory and group audits in collaboration with external auditors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and ensure timely filing of GST and Corporate Tax.
  • Respond to inquiries and questionnaires from IRAS and other regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on developments in IFRS, Singapore tax, and accounting regulations.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Provide expert advice and technical guidance on financial matters to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.
  • Communicate proactively and consistently with Headquarters and subsidiary offices on financial performance and operational matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of full-spectrum accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a multinational company environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore accounting and taxation standards.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
