An international EPC contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support major pipeline, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the CIS region. Based in Doha, this role will focus on contracts, claims, and day-to-day legal support for complex live projects operating in a cross-border environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer EPC-related contracts, purchase orders, supply agreements, and subcontractor contracts
  • Manage legal and contractual relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Support contract lifecycle management from tender stage through execution, amendments, completion, and close-out
  • Handle claims, disputes, variations, extensions of time, and performance-related contractual matters
  • Identify contractual risks and develop practical mitigation strategies
  • Ensure contract documentation aligns with English law principles and international contracting standards
  • Work closely with project, procurement, finance, and commercial teams on day-to-day project matters
  • Support negotiations on commercial settlements, change orders, and claims resolution
  • Coordinate with external counsel when disputes or specialist legal input is required
  • Maintain templates, internal processes, and contract governance controls
  • Provide regular updates to management on contractual exposure and key legal risks

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on mandatory EPC contracts experience
  • Solid background in supplier, vendor, procurement, and subcontractor agreements
  • Good knowledge of English law and common law contracting structures
  • Fluent English required
  • Russian is strongly preferred
  • Willingness to be based in Doha with occasional regional travel
