Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Market Entry: Develop and execute short and long-term commercial strategies to increase market share in Indonesia and other SEA countries. This includes identifying new markets and leading go-to-market strategies.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and market trends. Analyze data and provide insights to support business development strategies.
  • Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments that may impact the company's business strategy.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Lead the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A opportunities and strategic partnerships to accelerate growth and market expansion.
  • Key Account & Distributor Management (SEA Focus): Build and maintain relationships with top-tier healthcare providers, government agencies, and local/regional distributors across the SEA market.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all local and regional operations align with diverse Indonesian and SEA regulatory standards (e.g., local distribution licenses, product registrations, and certifications).
  • Financial Planning & Performance: Responsible for local and regional revenue targets, P&L management, financial modeling, and data-driven market analysis.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary, often multinational, teams and align with product, R&D, and sales functions to drive initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacist/apothecary, Health Sciences / Healthcare, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) may be preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Medical Device industry, including key players, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Experience: 15 years of business development or strategic planning experience in the medical device or healthcare sector, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • M&A & Corporate Strategy Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in leading or significantly contributing to M&A activities, from commercial due diligence to post-acquisition integration.
  • Skilled in financial valuation, deal structuring, and building investment cases.
    • Deep understanding of the Indonesian healthcare landscape and B2B medical sales.
    • Strong track record in international channel development and distributor management across SEA countries.
    • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively across Indonesia and the SEA region.
