About the job Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and market trends. Analyze data and provide insights to support business development strategies.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify leads for potential business opportunities, such as new partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, including medical device companies (principal), healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the industry.
- Proposal Development: preparation and submission of proposals for new business ventures, including product licensing, distribution agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide them with the necessary information and resources to pursue new business opportunities effectively.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with clients and partners.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of business development strategies and plans to expand the company's market share and achieve growth objectives.
- Pipeline Management: Help in managing the business development pipeline, tracking progress, and updating relevant stakeholders on the status of ongoing and potential projects.
- Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments that may impact the company's business strategy.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and research and development, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations to share progress, achievements, and challenges with the senior management team.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacist/apothecary, Health Sciences / Healthcare, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) may be preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Development & Marketing in the Medical Device Industries
- Experience interacting and collaborating with principals and possessing strong negotiation skills.
- Having exposure experience in Marketing, Sales, and developing new product development (commercial)
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
- Analytical mindset to gather and interpret data, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of the Medical Device industry, including key players, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Result-oriented, ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks.
