About the job Senior Electrical Engineer (HVLV)
1. Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer (HVLV) will be responsible for electrical design, site supervision, and commissioning works across MEP projects, workshops, industrial facilities, conveyor systems, and fuel storage tank installations. The role requires strong hands-on experience with both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, compliance with Indonesian and international standards, and the ability to lead field implementation.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Electrical Design & Engineering
Prepare and review HV & LV electrical system designs including SLD, load schedules, cable sizing, grounding layout, lightning protection, and panel configuration.
Conduct short circuit calculation, voltage drop analysis, protection coordination, and transformer/generator sizing.
Ensure compliance with SNI, PLN, IEC, IEEE, and project specifications.
Develop electrical layouts for:
Workshops & fabrication facilities
Fuel storage tanks (pumps, earthing, bonding, hazardous area classification)
Fire alarm & emergency shutdown systems (ESD)
Industrial machinery distribution (welders, compressors, cranes, conveyors)
B. Site Execution & Supervision
Supervise installation of HV/LV panels, MDB/SMDB, MCC, capacitor banks, lighting, earthing, and cable-tray systems.
Coordinate electrical works for fuel storage tank farms, including:
Pump motors & VFD
Earthing and bonding
Intrinsically safe wiring (EX-proof)
Level sensors & instrumentation
Inspect cable laying, termination, jointing, and testing for both HV and LV systems.
Coordinate daily with civil, mechanical, and MEP teams to ensure integrated progress.
C. Testing & Commissioning
Perform testing & commissioning of:
HV and LV switchgear
Transformers, generators, ATS/AMF
Protection relays & metering systems
Emergency lighting & fire alarm
Hazardous area (EX-proof) equipment for fuel tanks
Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure safe energisation.
D. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare BOQ, MTO, method statements, ITP, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Conduct inspections following safety requirements and hazardous area (Zone 1, Zone 2) standards.
Ensure compliance with fire-safety and fuel storage electrical codes.

3. Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Energy preferred).
Minimum 58 years experience in MEP, workshops, or fuel storage tank electrical projects.
Strong technical skills in HV (up to 20150 kV) and LV systems.
Experience with EX-proof equipment, grounding for fuel tanks, lightning protection, and hazardous area classification.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical calculation tools.
Strong leadership, coordination, and site-execution capability.

Experience in EPCM construction for:
Workshops & industrial buildings
Fuel storage tanks & refuelling stations
Conveyor systems & mining facilities
Jetty or port electrical installations
Familiar with PLN coordination & energisation processes.
