R77 Global is seeking a commercially minded lawyer for a Malta-based professional services firm serving local and international clients. The firm provides corporate, accounting, legal, tax and HR services.

This is an opportunity to advise on a varied range of corporate and commercial matters while working closely with colleagues across legal, tax, corporate services and HR.

The role

You will:

• Advise clients on Maltese corporate and commercial law, corporate structures, governance and related regulatory matters.
• Manage company formations, corporate changes, restructurings, liquidations and dissolutions.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, transaction documents and corporate documentation.
• Prepare legal opinions and clear written advice on complex matters.
• Advise on Maltese tax considerations arising from corporate structures and transactions, working with tax colleagues where appropriate.
• Liaise with authorities, registries, notaries and external professional advisers.
• Support clients on employment law and related HR matters, AML/KYC, GDPR and other compliance requirements.
• Monitor relevant legal, regulatory and tax developments and advise clients and colleagues on their practical impact.
• Handle client matters with care, sound judgement and appropriate confidentiality.

What you'll need

• A degree in Law.
• A valid Maltese Advocate's Warrant to practise law in Malta. This is a mandatory requirement.
• At least three years' hands-on experience advising on Maltese corporate and commercial law, including company formations, corporate governance and related procedures.
• Strong legal drafting skills in English. Fluency in Maltese is strongly preferred.
• Current residence in Malta and availability to work on-site.
• Eligibility to work in Malta.
• A professional, detail-oriented approach and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Experience that would be an advantage

• Knowledge or experience in Maltese taxation or international tax.
• Experience with AML/KYC, GDPR, immigration or employment law.
• Experience with restructurings, liquidations or dissolutions.
• Background in corporate services or advising an international client base.
