R77 Global is partnering with a range of organisations in Malta, from fast-growing in-house finance teams to established corporate service providers (CSPs). We are building shortlists across several levels and will match you to the best-fit team based on your skills, preferences, and growth goals.

  • Accounts Clerk / Junior Accountant 25k–30k
  • Accounts Executive / Assistant Accountant 28k 38k
  • Senior Accountant 40k-55k
  • Accounting Manager / Finance Manager 55k–70k

What youll do (scope varies by level)

Core responsibilities (most roles)

  • Prepare and post journals; maintain ledgers; perform bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations.
  • Support/own month-end close; assist with management accounts, variance analysis, and cash-flow updates.
  • Prepare VAT returns, EC Sales Lists/recaps, and intrastat (where relevant); liaise with authorities as needed.
  • Handle AP/AR cycles, supplier statements, and payment runs; maintain fixed-asset registers.
  • Support the annual audit; compile schedules and respond to auditor queries.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders (internal teams or client portfolios in CSP settings).

CSP-specific (where applicable)

  • Manage a portfolio of client entities; prepare periodic management accounts and year-end packs.
  • Coordinate with corporate/admin teams on ROC filings, annual returns, and company secretarial timelines.
  • Guide clients on basic accounting queries and compliance timeframes.

Senior/Manager responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and reporting cycle; drive process improvements and controls.
  • Review the work of juniors, coach the team, and allocate and prioritise the workload across deadlines.
  • Prepare/oversee budgets, forecasts, cash-flow planning, and board-level reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banks to support policy setting and system optimisation.

What youll bring

Essentials

  • Relevant accounting experience (from 6+ months for junior roles to 5+ years for manager level).
  • Qualifications: A Level Accounting / AAT or ACCA (in progress/part-qualified/fully qualified) or equivalent.
  • Solid Excel skills; working knowledge of at least one accounting suite (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
  • Familiarity with IFRS/Maltese GAAP, VAT rules, and standard month-end processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership of deadlines, and clear communication in English.
  • Eligibility to work in Malta.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a CSP environment managing multi-entity client portfolios.
  • Exposure to payroll inputs (FSS), consolidations, and audit preparation.
  • Knowledge of ROC timelines and interactions with local regulators/authorities.
