About the client:

They are expanding their operations and opening a new office in Malta, one of Europe's leading gaming hubs. they are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance Department and support the day-to-day accounting and reporting needs of our growing business.

About the Role:

The Accountant will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and CFO to ensure the accuracy of financial records, prepare reports, and support the company's ongoing compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform PSP, revenue, jackpot, and player balance reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies between back-office reports and PSP statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare management reports and assist with financial analysis.
• Liaise with the Payments Team and external auditors when required.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Requirements:

• PMust be part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, preferably in the gaming or payments sector is required.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes is required.
• You should possess strong Excel skills and be familiar with accounting systems.
• You should have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
