St. Julian's, Malta

social media / Employee Branding manager

 Job Description:

Role overview

Our client is looking for a hands-on, creatively driven CSR, Employer Brand & Content Lead to own and elevate how the organisation shows up in the market — across CSR storytelling, employer branding, brand design, content strategy, video production, presentations, PR, and newsletters.

Youll turn real work into strong narratives, produce high-quality creative assets, and ensure consistent messaging across every touchpoint. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with leadership, HR, marketing, and operations to strengthen reputation, attract talent, and communicate impact with clarity and credibility.

Key responsibilities

1) CSR communications & impact storytelling

  • Build and deliver a clear CSR communications strategy that authentically reflects social and environmental initiatives.
  • Translate impact into compelling narratives: sustainability, community programmes, ethical business practices, and measurable outcomes.
  • Gather and validate impact metrics with internal stakeholders; turn them into stories that resonate externally and internally.
  • Produce CSR/impact reports, statements, and stakeholder updates aligned with recognised reporting approaches (where relevant).
  • Ensure CSR messaging is consistently integrated into wider marketing, brand, and corporate communications.

2) Employer brand & talent marketing

  • Create and execute employer branding campaigns that position the company as an employer of choice.
  • Develop and refine EVP (Employee Value Proposition) content: culture, values, growth, benefits, and ways of working.
  • Produce employee stories, testimonials, and case studies (written + video) that feel real and credible.
  • Own content across the careers page and recruitment marketing assets; partner closely with HR/Talent Acquisition to support hiring priorities.

3) Brand, design & visual identity

  • Act as a brand guardian — ensuring consistency across all channels, materials, and campaigns.
  • Design and produce high-quality visuals: graphics, infographics, social assets, digital banners, one-pagers, brochures, posters, event collateral.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, templates, and style systems (including internal decks and external materials).
  • Coordinate external freelancers/agencies when needed, ensuring quality control and on-brand delivery.

4) Content strategy & production

  • Own end-to-end content planning: website, blog, social, email, internal comms, and campaign content.
  • Build content calendars aligned to organisational priorities (launches, initiatives, hiring pushes, events).
  • Create thought leadership and long-form content (articles, case studies, whitepapers) that supports credibility and authority.
  • Apply SEO best practices and continuously improve content discoverability and performance.
  • Run content audits and use insights to improve engagement, clarity, and conversion.

5) Video & multimedia (hands-on)

  • Concept, script, shoot and edit video content for marketing, employer brand, events, and internal communications.
  • Produce videos such as: brand promos, employee spotlights, product/service explainers, behind-the-scenes, event coverage.
  • Manage the full workflow: planning, storyboarding, filming, editing, colour/sound finishing, and delivery across platforms.
  • Create motion graphics/animations where needed and optimise output for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and web.

6) Presentations & executive storytelling

  • Build high-impact pitch decks, investor-style presentations, stakeholder reports, conference decks and internal comms packs.
  • Turn complex information into clear narratives using strong structure, visuals, and data storytelling.
  • Create presentation templates and a deck system to ensure consistency, speed, and quality.
  • Support leadership, sales, and BD teams with tailored decks for client meetings and events.

7) Communications & PR

  • Draft press releases, media statements, announcements, and executive comms with strong judgement and tone.
  • Support media relationship-building and identify opportunities for coverage, speaking slots, and thought leadership.
  • Help shape crisis comms protocols and manage sensitive messaging when required.

8) Newsletters (internal & external)

  • Create and manage newsletters end-to-end using tools like Mailchimp/HubSpot (or similar).
  • Write engaging copy, design layouts, build segmentation, and improve performance through testing and analytics.
  • Track KPIs (open rate, CTR, conversions) and continuously improve content, timing, and targeting.
