We are recruiting for a Financial Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, successful and growing business based in Portsmouth. You'll join a supportive finance team, working closely with the Financial Director in a varied and hands-on role where your contribution will be valued.
The Role:
You will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, including:

Managing sales and purchase ledger

Processing invoices and payments
-
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Assisting with month-end processes
-
Maintaining the fixed asset register
-
Supporting VAT and CIS returns
-
Handling customer and supplier queries
The Person:
-
3+ years experience in a finance or accounting role
-
Experience with accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations
-
Comfortable supporting month-end processes
-
AAT Level 3 or 4 (preferred)

Strong attention to detail and organised approach

Confident using accounting software (Xero experience beneficial)
