The Role:
As the AV Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of onsite AV support, ensuring seamless operation of meeting spaces, events, and video conferencing systems. You'll lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of technicians while acting as the key onsite contact for the client. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, service excellence, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of onsite AV technicians
Manage daily operations to ensure full coverage across rotating shifts
Act as the primary onsite contact for all AV services, requests, and escalations
Oversee the setup and smooth running of meetings and corporate events
Ensure service delivery aligns with SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations
Perform quality checks, equipment audits, and preventative maintenance
Work closely with IT, facilities, and external vendors on escalations and upgrades
Support new technology rollouts and provide user training where required
Ensure compliance with all onsite health, safety, and security procedures
Coordinate staff rotas, holiday cover, and shift patterns
Shift Pattern:
The AV team operates a rotating weekly shift pattern:
07:00 15:00
08:00 16:00
11:00 19:00
Flexibility is essential to provide full coverage across operational hours.
Skills & Experience:
Strong technical expertise across AV & VC systems (Teams Rooms, Yealink, Poly, Crestron, QSC, etc.)
Proven experience supervising or leading a small AV team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational ability with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
Knowledge of AV-over-IP or basic networking principles (advantageous)
Professional, approachable, and confident in a corporate environment
AVIXA CTS / CTS-I certification (highly desirable)
