Are you an experienced onsite AV professional ready to step into a leadership role? Rafferty Resourcing is recruiting for an AV Team Lead to oversee a high-performing onsite Audio Visual operation for a prestigious corporate environment in Central London.

The Role:

As the AV Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of onsite AV support, ensuring seamless operation of meeting spaces, events, and video conferencing systems. You'll lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of technicians while acting as the key onsite contact for the client. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, service excellence, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of onsite AV technicians

  • Manage daily operations to ensure full coverage across rotating shifts

  • Act as the primary onsite contact for all AV services, requests, and escalations

  • Oversee the setup and smooth running of meetings and corporate events

  • Ensure service delivery aligns with SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations

  • Perform quality checks, equipment audits, and preventative maintenance

  • Work closely with IT, facilities, and external vendors on escalations and upgrades

  • Support new technology rollouts and provide user training where required

  • Ensure compliance with all onsite health, safety, and security procedures

  • Coordinate staff rotas, holiday cover, and shift patterns

Shift Pattern:

The AV team operates a rotating weekly shift pattern:

  • 07:00 15:00

  • 08:00 16:00

  • 11:00 19:00

Flexibility is essential to provide full coverage across operational hours.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong technical expertise across AV & VC systems (Teams Rooms, Yealink, Poly, Crestron, QSC, etc.)

  • Proven experience supervising or leading a small AV team

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational ability with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset

  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities

  • Knowledge of AV-over-IP or basic networking principles (advantageous)

  • Professional, approachable, and confident in a corporate environment

  • AVIXA CTS / CTS-I certification (highly desirable)
