The Company:

This company specialises in designing Embedded Computer Solutions for Industrial Applications, System Integrators, and OEMs. Their expertise lie in Industrial Panel PCs, Fanless Box PCs, Industrial Rack PCs, Industrial PC Components, and Custom Systems tailored for various sectors such as Medical, Transport, Rail, and Factory Automation.

The Role:

• Designing industrial specifications for SBC type solutions
• Liaising with customers to understand their requirements
• Assisting customers with technical issues
• Using your experience to specify and design products for the customer
• Applying your knowledge of using embedded motherboards, graphics, engines power supplies and cooling to produce competitive system designs
• Taking ownership of issues affecting the products and clearly communicating the course of action required to address the issue

Experience Required:

• Experience of modern computer system architectures - X86 and ARM
• Schematic capture experience
• Generating and maintaining part information and bills of materials
• Knowledge of computer components including; computer racks, motherboards, CPUs, graphics cards, analogue/serial routers, riser cards and system cooling
• Experience in design, development and testing of printed circuit boards
• Proficiency in CAD packages for PCB and mechanical design
• Experience using Altium and Linux systems
• Experience of embedding windows 10- desirable but not essential
• Best practice design guides, rules, manufacturing & assembly techniques and ISO 9001
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant role and qualified to HNC or above
