About the job Head of Human Resources
The Head of Human Resources is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function at the airport. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation and benefits, and workforce development. The Head of HR will work closely with the airport leadership team to align people strategies with business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure that HR practices support operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. To lead and manage the Human Resources department in delivering effective HR services, policies, and initiatives that support the airport's growth and operational goals. The role is critical in building organizational capabilities, promoting employee engagement, driving Emiratization and retention strategies, and maintaining a fair, compliant, and inclusive workplace.
As the overall lead, the incumbent will provide leadership for 3 teams - Human Resources (HR) and Training and PRO.
STRATEGIC
- Develop and execute the airport's HR strategy aligned with the organization's overall business goals and vision.
- Lead efforts to achieve Emiratization targets by implementing tailored development plans that support growth and long-term retention of UAE Nationals.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to address workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention needs.
- Prepare and manage HR budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions for HR initiatives.
- Drive culture-building initiatives to promote employee engagement, inclusion, and well-being.
TALENT ACQUISITION, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, HR OPERATIONS
- Oversee recruitment processes to attract, hire, and retain top talent across various airport functions (e.g., operations, customer service, security).
- Design and oversee comprehensive onboarding programs that integrate new hires smoothly into the company, streamlining processes to reduce inefficiencies.
- To establish a performance management system that includes setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to employees.
- Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression and to ensure mandatory trainings are completed as per regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all HR Operations of employee life cycle from recruitment to employee offboarding.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices and organizational culture.
- Cultivate a positive work environment by addressing employee grievances, promoting open communication, and ensuring high levels of engagement.
- Support managers with coaching and guidance to improve team performance and morale.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant labour laws, aviation industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop and regularly review HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Oversee workforce safety, health, and wellness programs to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
- Provide HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making at the executive level.
HR METRICS, HRIS
- Drive initiatives for organizational development, succession planning, and change management.
- Optimize HR operations through the implementation of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and other digital tools.
