Job Purpose
Maintain main power supply of the airport and overseas the maintenance and operation of various power supply equipments in Substation such as switchgears, transformers and high distribution panels, baggage handling system, HVAC, lighting, power distribution and other critical infrastructure. Ensure that these systems function effectively, comply with safety standards and are properly maintained to support smooth operation of airport. Managing departmental projects involving initiating, planning, executing, monitor and controlling and handover of the project.
Maintaining the department budget, GCAA Audit, reports, job card, assets and upgrade of electromechanical equipments in the facility to the industrial standard.

Ensure continuous power supply to the airport by managing and maintaining power supply equipment in substation, including switchgears, transformers and high/low voltage distribution panels, adhering to IEE regulations for all electrical installations across the airport building.
Conforming planned preventive maintenance of airfield ground lighting (AGL) as per the GCAA Standards, including the daily, weekly and monthly inspections and fault rectification. Coordinate calibration based on flight inspection reports prepared by the calibration team.
Manage routine maintenance of baggage handling system (BHS) and explore options for necessary upgrade or new installations.
Conduct routine checks, periodic maintenance, and on-load test runs for diesel engines.
Ensure consistent power supply to navigational equipments, overseeing standby generators.
Prepare comprehensive monthly reports and manage all department related office works.
Ensure daily inspection of airport buildings, apron flood lighting, airfield ground lighting and immediate rectification of electrical faults.
Coordinate with AC maintenance contractor to guarantee the effective maintenance of chiller chiller plant,as well as package and split air conditioning equipments.
Log all activities in the substation logbook and review daily electrical worksheets.
Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and solve problems, supervising and organizing staff for daily tasks.
Supervise and lead projects within the department, ensuring their successful execution and completion.
Review and maintain Key performance Indicator (KPI) of the department.
Analyze new project drawings, Bill of quantities (BOQ), specifications and contract clauses for effective planning and execution.

Professional Qualifications
The position demands technical proficiency, problem solving abilities and effective management skills. Substantial experience in managing airfield ground lighting and electromechanical systems, expertise in project management, knowledge of relevant codes and standard.
EXPERIENCE
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in major airport projects/ maintenance in middle east

- To comply with the relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual and Safety Management System and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
- To comply with the safety requirements detailed within their training.
- To advise their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety via one of the following means.
- Report directly to the Safety Department or an immediate supervisor.
- Submitting an Accident/ Incident Report.
- Support safety audits as and investigations as they occur.
