Job Description

Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new non-aeronautical business opportunities within the airport, maximize the revenue from existing non-aero businesses and optimize the utilization of airport facilities.

Functional Accountabilities

Key Activities

Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and potential non-aero business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyse competitor activities and market dynamics to identify competitive advantages.

Business Opportunity Identification & Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, concessions, retail, food & beverage, advertising, and other non-aero revenue streams.
  • Develop comprehensive business proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with new business partners.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential and existing partners, concessionaires, and internal departments.
  • Represent the airport at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for non-aero business inquiries.

Revenue Optimization & Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from existing non-aero businesses.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of non-aero businesses, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the passenger experience and drive non-aero revenue.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and airport policies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all business development activities.

  • Supporting the C-level (CCO) initiatives and priorities.
  • Collaborating effectively with other departments and teams.
  • Being a reliable and trusted member of the management team.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Professional Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in business development, preferably in the airport, retail, hospitality, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of non-aero revenue streams and business models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in market research, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team.

EXPERIENCE

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years experience of non-aero business development or in similar field
  • A strong understanding of the various non-aero revenue streams within an airport environment, such as advertising, parking, and ground transportation, is crucial.
  • Familiarity with airport operations, including the dynamics of passenger flow, concession management, and airport regulations, is a significant advantage.
