Lifecycle Marketing Associate - Customer Engagement

Rhythm Energy's Engagement & Retention Marketing team builds and maintains deep, personalized relationships with our customers by understanding their needs and delivering the right message, at the right time, through the right channel. Our goal is to nurture those relationships, drive meaningful action, and reinforce positive brand sentiment throughout the customer journey.
We're looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Associate to help evolve how we communicate with customers across lifecycle channels, using levers like incentives, promotions, and product education to drive energy product adoption and engagement. This role will also contribute to trust-building initiatives, helping shape how we use marketing to reinforce Rhythms commitment to helping lower energy bills and make a positive impact on environment.
Our work is both quantitatively and qualitatively data-driven, innovative, and impact-oriented and you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to programs that shape the way customers perceive and engage with Rhythm Energy across their journey. You'll work cross-functionally to develop campaigns, run experiments, and contribute to scaling our lifecycle engine to be smarter, more personalized, and more effective at converting consideration into action.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that drive adoption and engagement, using levers like incentives, product promotions, and product content & education
- Create and run strategic experiments to evaluate new and evolving conversion levers such as incentives programs and product features and apply learnings to optimize future campaigns
- Partner with creative, product marketing, brand, and analytics teams to develop content strategies and campaign messaging that resonate with our customer base
- Support early pilots into new growth channels, assisting with targeting, messaging, and operational workflows
- Build, QA, deploy, and monitor campaigns, ensuring accuracy, delivery KPIs and a seamless customer experience
- Contribute to our CRM personalization strategy by leveraging customer attributes, behavior, and segmentation to increase relevance and impact
- Governance & compliance maintain approvals for regulatory copy (PUC, TCPA) and blackout windows (ERCOT events)
- Track and report on campaign performance in partnership with Analytics, and use insights to inform iteration and identify opportunities for growth.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing, ideally in a B2C tech environment
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g., Iterable, Braze) and personalization platforms (e.g., Moveable Ink)
- Strong campaign execution skills, with experience developing strategy, managing projects, and executing across multiple lifecycle channels
- Comfortable analyzing performance data to generate insights and optimize campaigns; proficient in Python, SQL or similar tools
- Collaborative team player with a growth mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
- Familiarity with customer segmentation, lifecycle funnel design, or incentive-based marketing strategies is a plus
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment preferred

- Total new email leads captured (monthly target; year-over-year growth)
- Lead-to-customer conversion rate from nurture drips (measured quarterly)
- Renewal conversion rate driven by lifecycle campaigns (vs. control group)
- Renewal margin uplift
- Incremental CLV lift attributable to lifecycle programs (test-vs-holdout)
- Automated journey coverage 95 % of active leads and customers touched by at least one live journey
- Journey reliability 99.5 % successful sends with zero critical errors or rule violations per month
