Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Rhythm Energy's growth depends on two things: (1) converting prospects who show interest and (2) keeping customers happy, informed, and on the right plan. In this role, you'll lead strategic initiatives that drive revenue, optimize customer engagement, and elevate the customer experience across the lifecycle journey. You will own every post-lead touchpoint from the first drip email to the year-three renewal reminder, reducing voluntary churn and maximizing lifetime value (CLV).
You'll be responsible for building high-impact campaigns and programs through owned channels (email, in-product, SMS), while also shaping and enforcing the operational backbone of our lifecycle ecosystem our governance and best practice frameworks that enable us to scale effectively. Your analytical and technical mindset will help you uncover insights, influence roadmap decisions, and design data-driven journeys that are both personalized and impactful.
What you'll do
- Own and drive a cohesive lifecycle marketing strategy for your remit that aligns with broader go-to-market and team priorities
- Lead the planning, execution, and iteration of lifecycle campaigns and experiments across email, in-product messaging, and SMS
- Monitor dashboards to track lifecycle performance and KPIs and report on insights regularly
- Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments to drive continuous optimization
- Map ideal prospect journeys and adoption paths, identifying high-leverage opportunities for engagement
- Create personalized, event-triggered journeys that deliver relevant content at the right moments
- Implement governance and compliance frameworks that ensure consistency, quality, and transparency across campaigns
- Own renewal & win-back comms turn daily price tables into segmented, tested offers that protect margin and minimize churn.
- Prospect email capture & conversion Partner with Performance Marketing team to grow the marketing list (site pop-ups, gated content, quote-tool leads) and build drips that turn prospects into first-time customers.
- Cross-functional leadership & infra coordinate with Brand, Pricing, Product, Engineering; identify tooling or data-flow gaps and lead projects to close them.
- Own and drive a cohesive lifecycle marketing strategy for your remit that aligns with broader go-to-market and team priorities
What you'll bring
- 8+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing ideally subscription, energy retail, FinTech, or telecom.
- Proven record improving CX / reducing churn and increasing lead-to-sale conversion through automated programs.
- Mastery of Iterable, Braze, or similar ESP; familiarity with Segment or similar CDP platforms; comfortable writing SQL and interpreting attribution models.
- Strong grasp of price-elasticity concepts and how offer strategy affects unit margin.
- Experience in regulated-communications environments (PUC, TCPA).
- Exceptional project-management and stakeholder-influence skills; thrives in a fast-moving scale-up.
- 8+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing ideally subscription, energy retail, FinTech, or telecom.

- Total new email leads captured (monthly target; year-over-year growth)
- Lead-to-customer conversion rate from nurture drips (measured quarterly)
- Renewal conversion rate driven by lifecycle campaigns (vs. control group)
- Renewal margin uplift, renewal churn
- Early tenure churn
- Incremental CLV lift attributable to lifecycle programs (test-vs-holdout)
- Automated journey coverage 95 % of active leads and customers touched by at least one live journey
- Journey reliability 99.5 % successful sends with zero critical errors or rule violations per month
- Total new email leads captured (monthly target; year-over-year growth)
