Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Reinsurance Assistant BDM to support our Business Development Manager in daily administrative tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills (English, French), and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position is based in our office in Kigali, Rwanda, and primarily involves computer-based work, including sending emails, reminders, and pre-written messages to internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sending and managing emails between brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
- Drafting, formatting, and sending (pre-written) messages and reminders.
- Tracking deadlines and ensuring timely responses.
- Maintaining internal trackers for tasks, documents, and correspondence.
- Coordinating the collection and distribution of documents (e.g., contracts, agreements).
- Scheduling meetings and preparing online calls or presentations.
- Organizing and archiving documents (contracts, binders, fronting arrangements).
- Providing general administrative support to the Business Development Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or assistant role.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and French.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and proactively.
- Professional and discreet in handling confidential matters.
