About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on Store Manager to oversee all warehouse and inventory operations. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing stock levels, coordinating deliveries and dispatches, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that materials and products are properly stored and accounted for. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory control systems, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations
- Oversee daily store activities including receiving, inspecting, issuing, and organizing materials
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety compliance within the store and warehouse areas
- Handle returns and report damaged or missing items
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular inventory checks
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely reordering to prevent shortages or excess
- Prepare and submit monthly inventory and stock movement reports
3. Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise storekeepers and warehouse assistants to ensure efficient operations
- Coordinate closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth material flow
4. Storage & Safety
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and safe handling of all materials, including hazardous items
- Ensure that the store and warehouse area remain clean, well-organized, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times
5.Office and Project Supply Management
- Maintain adequate inventory of office consumables including stationery, printer supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Coordinate the distribution of office supplies to staff upon request and approval, and monitor usage trends to avoid stockouts
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping (stock issue forms, GRNs, asset records) is up to date and audit-ready
- Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and company
- Enforce inventory control policies and procedures to reduce loss, misuse, or overstocking.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 5 to 10+ years of proven experience in store or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and software (e.g., ERP, SAP, or QuickBooks Inventory)
- Strong understanding of consumables management and spare parts management
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability
