Compliance Administrator

 Job Description:

Job accountabilities include:

  • Carry out all tasks assigned as part of the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme and other Compliance task lists.
  • Maintenance of Compliance registers.
  • Reviewing potential hits from the overnight screening of names from the Acumen database, liaising with the business to clear the hits and escalating any findings in accordance with the procedures.
  • Signing off on the adequacy of CDD as requested, to include the maintenance of the respective Compliance records.
  • Assist with the Compliance related tasks around the management of CPD for relevant employees.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business and where relevant to other Compliance staff to enable the business to operate efficiently and effectively in meeting its regulatory and legislative obligations.
  • Undertaking and/or assisting with ad-hoc Compliance related projects or reviews as requested.
  • Provide cover for Compliance team absences from time to time to ensure continuity of service to the business.
  • Carry out any Compliance related function/activity as requested by Compliance Management, Head of Compliance or Directors from time to time.

Personal development:

  • To develop an understanding of Compliance and the regulatory environment the Compliance Administrator may be enrolled on a suitable professional qualification course, such as the International Compliance Association certificate modules on Compliance and Financial Crime.
  • Attend seminars and workshops and read industry publications to enhance professional and technical knowledge.
  • Shape own development to reflect the affairs, priorities and values of Praxis by identifying areas to improve own knowledge and skills and actively seek assistance.
  • Develop techniques for managing time/deadline pressures.
  • Maintain evidence of continuing professional development with at least 15 hours of relevant CPD per annum.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Educated to a minimum GCSE standard
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel
