Senior Analyst - Compliance - 6 Month FTC

 Job Description:

Role Overview

This role provides support across all areas of the Compliance function, with a primary focus on assisting senior compliance professionals who hold Key Person responsibilities for fully regulated and AML‑supervised entities. The position also includes general compliance duties and involvement in onboarding new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

General Compliance Support

  • Assist with daily compliance tasks, including screening reviews, escalation of results, and monitoring changes to customer profiles and risk ratings.
  • Update and maintain Compliance Registers.
  • Review and process CDD/ECDD documentation.
  • Check periodic client reviews and raise follow‑up actions.
  • Conduct new business screening, including sanctions and media checks.
  • Attend Risk & Compliance Committee meetings as required and draft minutes.
  • Support preparation of internal financial crime prevention training.
  • Assist with responses to due diligence requests from banks, legal firms, and overseas agents.
  • Contribute to maintaining the Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Provide guidance to administration teams regarding CDD/ECDD requirements.

Key Person Support

  • Assist senior Compliance Officers, MLCOs, and MLROs with activities related to regulated client entities.
  • Help prepare quarterly, bi‑annual and annual compliance reports and statistics.
  • Support completion of Compliance Monitoring Programme testing.
  • Assist with Operational and AML/CFT/CPF Risk Assessments.
  • Support regulatory reviews, including insurance, client money handling, and risk assessments.
  • Assist with audit deliverables and regulatory data collection.
  • Provide support during regulatory examinations and assessments.

General Expectations

  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Enter time daily into the time‑billing system.
  • Carry out duties aligned with the needs of the role and the evolving Compliance function.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Preferably 3+ years' Compliance experience (or strong related financial services experience).
  • Studying toward or willing to pursue a relevant qualification (e.g., ICA).
  • Preferably holds or is near completing a JFSC Table 5 qualification.
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of client databases (e.g., ViewPoint) is helpful but not essential.
  • Good understanding of corporate and trust structures.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time‑management abilities.
