Whats the role?

Within this role you will be responsible for the overall management of a team of administrators to ensure the provision of a professional and first-class service to clients. You will maintain and develop relationships with team clients and potential new clients and contacts whilst promoting the positive image of the business through the professional application of services and knowledge. You will be a member of the Real Asset Funds Senior Management team and act as a liaison between the senior leaders and managers.

What youll be doing

Managerial

  • Overall oversight of an administration team
  • Ensure team adherence to internal company procedures
  • Development/enhancement of team specific procedures
  • Responsibility to ensure that the team adheres to procedures
  • Responsibility for the financial management of the team and ensuring that team accounting deadlines and review deadlines are met
  • Monitoring and developing strategies to improve recoverability and profitability
  • Ensuring fee arrangements are appropriate and remain so
  • Attend senior management and managers meetings
  • Involvement with Group projects as either a member of a committee or as team leader
  • Oversight of appraisals for all team members and conduct appraisals for senior members of the team
  • Attend recruitment interviews
  • Leading and driving business change

Development of others

  • Development of internal short courses, if required
  • Presentation of internal short courses and training sessions, if required
  • Coach team in relation to client activities and procedures
  • Coach team in relation to time management, financial management and prioritisation skills

Administration

  • Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients (including complex and key clients)
  • Act as an A Authorised Signatory
  • Travel to meet with team clients
  • Liaise with team clients
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the differing requirements/ processes for high-risk clients
  • Undertake final sign off on capital activity (drawdowns, distributions etc) and release to investors
  • Review of financial statements for team clients as appropriate
  • Liaising with all intermediaries and external agents such as new business introducers, legal advisors, auditors and the JFSC in respect of team clients

New Business

  • Develop new business
  • Assist with new client proposals
  • Liaise with new clients, business introducers and intermediaries
  • Assist with the client acceptance process for new clients
  • Responsibility to ensure all relevant business development and client relationship information is recorded correctly

Financial Management

  • Ensure fee arrangements are appropriate and remain so
  • Oversight of the billing process by reviewing and giving final sign off on BCFs (billing control forms) and WIP (work in process reports) for team
  • Analyse and report on WIP for team clients
  • Monitor and aged debts for team and be a point of escalation if required
  • Monitor and report on recoverability and profitability
  • Involvement in the budget process and monitoring performance against annual budget

  • Table 4 qualification
  • Sound academic background
  • 8+ years relevant industry experience
  • Comprehensive and detailed understanding and knowledge of the local finance industry legislation and regulatory requirements in which we operate
