Programme & Change Associate Director, Business Solutions
Job Description:
This role will involve managing a team of change specialists and overseeing a portfolio of change initiatives. You'll be involved in developing the transformation and technology strategy and creating a suitable project governance framework and change management strategy to manage transformation. Transformation will include implementation of new software solutions, developing workflows and automation, and strategic projects including new services and new business lines.
This role is critical to support growth, operational efficiency and client service ambitions. You will play a key role in guiding the organisation through complex change, ensuring initiatives are well-defined, well-governed and embedded successfully.
About the role
- Develop a transformation governance framework that covers project delivery, workflow automation and business initiatives from discovery, to design, development and delivery.
- Direct the transformation programme, ensuring alignment with operational strategy and business goals, managing multiple interrelated projects, ensuring coordinated delivery, prioritisation in line with the Mourant GS strategy.
- As a senior member of the Business Solutions team make a strong and proactive contribution to the formulation of the Business Solutions strategy, including the technology and transformation strategy, and keep up to date with industry news and developments.
- Lead and support the Change Solutions team, including Project Managers and Business Analysts, fostering a collaborative and delivery orientated approach.
- Supervise discovery and requirements gathering to ensure business needs are accurately captured and translated into effective solutions.
- Drive adoption of new systems and processes through structured change planning, communication, and training.
- Maintain clear, tailored communication with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
- Ensure all initiatives follow Group IT governance, change control, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Identify cross-project risks early, implement mitigation plans, and resolve issues to maintain programme momentum.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure success and ensure delivery of tangible business improvements.
- Promote ongoing optimisation by gathering feedback, reviewing outcomes, and exploring new technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with Business Services teams and managing directors and team members to provide reporting to the boards.

- Demonstrate a passion for change and continuous improvement and a deep knowledge of the trust and corporate services industry and associated processes.
- Flexible and pro-active approach to problem solving both in an individual capacity and as part of a team with an ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, have a positive outlook and well-organised with good personal management skills and with a proven record of taking ownership of tasks and responsibility for ensuring completion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, together with the ability to build relationships, working as part of a global team to achieve a common goal.
