Senior Client Accountant
Job Description:
To provide assistance to the Accounts Manager in order to meet legal, regulatory and tax deadlines for our clients. Preparation of more complex structures.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of more complex accounts companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders as delegated in accordance with laid down procedures.
Preparation of OneNote file for review by Trust Manager, Accounts Manager and Director.
Review of financial statements prepared by other client accountants.
Training of more junior members of the team.
Bookkeeping computerised books of accounts in respect of client companies,
trusts, partnerships and sole traders
Preparation of company, partnership and trust tax computations.
Clearance of accounts review points.
Preparation of quarterly management accounts as required.
Preparation of other financial reports requested by the Trust Manager, Accounts Manager or Engagement Director on behalf of clients.
Liaison with other staff members to obtain information necessary for the
maintenance of the accounting records and/or the production of accounts.
Follow all procedures in respect of the finalising of accounts.
Requirements:
Use of in-house computer software packages to include:
Microsoft Office
Quantios Core
Virtual Cabinet
Accounts preparation in accordance with laid down procedures and accounting
standards (FRS102).
For qualified staff CPD courses in accounting/financial reporting standards.
In-house update on local legislation as it affects clients including all policies and procedures of the group.
Ability to prepare financial statements to the company's required standards.
Ability to express matters clearly in writing and on the telephone.
Ability to utilise available technology.
Ability to react promptly to the requests of clients without neglecting the day-to-day
work of other clients within the portfolio allocated or office procedures.
A full understanding of Anti Money Laundering Law and orders.
Qualifications and experience:
Have 5+ years of experience in a trust accounts role and hold a recognised
accounting qualification such as CAT / ACCA / ACA.
An in-depth knowledge of local tax and corporate/trust legislation as it affects clients.
Working knowledge of NAVONE/Quantios Core.
Technical knowledge of Excel would be an advantage, other useful programmes include Power Bi and Alteryx although these are not essential for the role.
