Legal Administrator

 Job Description:

Legal Administrator

About the Role

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment where no two days are the same? We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Legal Administrator to become a key part of our team.

Working closely with fee earners, you'll play an essential role in keeping everything running smoothly—providing vital administrative support, helping manage workflows, and contributing to the team's overall success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy legal environment and wants to develop their skills within a supportive, collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing

In this varied and hands-on role, you will:

  • Keep fee earners organised and on track by managing emails, diaries, appointments, and communications
  • Help improve team efficiency by supporting data management and streamlining processes
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements, ensuring everything runs seamlessly
  • Prepare meeting rooms, welcome clients, and support a professional client experience
  • Assist with opening new matters and ensuring client files are maintained accurately
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and reports with a keen eye for detail
  • Manage document production tasks such as printing, scanning, and assembling court bundles
  • Liaise with courts and external offices confidently on behalf of the team
  • Support billing, time recording, expense processing, and reporting activities
  • Carry out searches quickly and efficiently to support legal work
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and wider team projects
  • Step in to provide additional support where needed, including covering for the Executive Assistant

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to get stuck in:

  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) as a minimum; a degree is a bonus
  • Previous experience in administration, ideally in a professional services or legal environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent typing and document formatting abilities
  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Your Strengths

You'll stand out if you are:

  • A true team player who enjoys supporting others
  • Calm under pressure and confident in managing deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy
  • A clear and professional communicator
  • Positive, flexible, and eager to contribute

What You Can Expect

In this role, you'll be part of a supportive team where your contribution truly matters. You'll have opportunities to grow, develop your skills, and gain exposure to a wide range of legal and administrative work.

We'll also expect you to:

  • Uphold our values and professional standards
  • Follow all policies and regulatory requirements, including AML compliance
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development

If you're organised, driven, and ready to play a key role in a high-performing team, we'd love to hear from you.
