Senior Bookkeeper - Jersey

 Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Providing bookkeeping services required by Company's clients

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Bookkeeping as required for clients administered by Jersey

Regular reconciliations of client ledger accounts to third party records

Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and ad-hoc statement for specific clients

Undertaking ad-hoc jobs as and when directed by Reporting Line

Completing and inputting time in the time billing system on a daily basis

Completing any other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with the requirements of the role, team and evolving nature of the function

Compliance with the business internal policies and procedures as may be amended from time to time

Ensure compliance with professional conduct, quality and ethical standards

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Five years relevant experience in a financial services environment

Basic understanding of Trust and Company accounting

This position ideally requires a professional bookkeeping or accounting qualification or be exempt from holding one under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, as amended.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Good knowledge of databases such as Unity would be useful

Good understanding of Corporate and Trust Structures

Excellent organisational ability

Good understanding of AML legislation relative to own work

Awareness of Company procedures relative to own work

Excellent knowledge of double entry book-keeping
