Senior Staff Engineer - Cross Functional (030726)
Job Description:
The main responsibilities are the efficient management of all resources to ensure that the sub-division's targets are met in terms of quality, deadlines and budgets. The Head of Sub-division is responsible for ensuring efficient, targeted communication within other sub-divisions and with other stakeholders within the MMS organization. Further responsibilities include the continuous optimization of three workshops, the targeted coordination of all HR activities, and ensuring health and safety at work.
Job Description:
- Direct reporting function to the Head of Workshop Division.
- Managing the sub-division, which consists of three workshops with approx. 50 employees.
- Responsible for achieving quality, schedule, and budget targets for the sub-division.
- Responsible for efficiently utilizing of available resources (manpower, tools, equipment, consumables, spare parts) within the sub-division
- Proactive coordination with the three other sub-divisions within the division, with the target efficiently utilizing of all resources.
- Proactive coordination with stakeholders of the MMS organization, such as Engineering, Ship Management and Planning, Procurement, Finance, HR and HSSE.
- Systematic maintenance and optimization of culture of learning from mistakes within the sub-division.
- Systematic application and optimization with Lean Tools such as 5Why, RCA, PDCA cycle, 5S and other
- Systematic introduction and optimization of processes and key performance indicators within the sub-division
- Proactive coordination of HR activities, such as performance appraisals, promotions, recruitment and training, related to staff belonging to the sub-division.
- Leadership development through the identification of motivated talents and their training through mentoring as future leaders of the sub-division.
Qualification/Education:
BDTVEC National Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, B.A or M.SC degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Marine Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years' experience in oil & gas or maritime industry.
- Minimum 10 years' leadership experience in the oil & gas industry with organizations of more than 50 employees.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as project manager in the oil & gas industry with more than 50 employees.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Head of Department in the oil oil & gas industry with departments of more than 50 employees.
