POSITION SUMMARY

Accountable to the Mechatronic Workshop Engineer for all relevant maintenance work carried out by the section and for the standard and timely completion of designated work. He/She is to assist the Engineer in doing Level 3 and Level 4 maintenance and any corrective works.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report and responsible to Mechatronic Engineer or Senior Engineer.

2. To carry out maintenance, repair, replacing faulty equipment, basic diagnosis and test of Mechatronic and equipment.

3. Carry out work in accordance with authorized procedures and publications. Observe rules and regulations.

4. Ensure efficient and correct use of spares.

5. Use tools and equipment correctly. Responsible for the accountability, serviceability and safekeeping of tools.

6. Remind his superior with regards of spare part requirements.

7. He is responsible for the task of maintenance.

8. To observe the current MMS Health and Safety instructions.

9. To assist with the training of Trainee as required.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team while also being to multi-task, work independently and possess a high level of personal initiative.

2. Conversant with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

3. Process Mechatronic knowledge and background. He/She must have a good communications and information technology skill.

4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

5. Willing to be placed in any part and work anytime if needed.

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE

HND / HNTEC in Control and Automation Engineering

OR

Electrical and Electronics Engineering 

OR

a related technical discipline and fewer than two years of experience.
