POSITION / JOB SUMMARY

The job description for the position as Assistant Engineer of the Shiplift Services Workshop includes main responsibilities and secondary responsibilities: The main responsibility is assisting the PM / CM tasks for painting and blasting tasks. The secondary responsibilities consist of QC for PM / CM tasks for painting and blasting tasks.

No KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. The Assistant Engineer is responsible to assist and execute all blasting and painting works for Ship Lift Alpha and Bravo and it`s equipment, he must ensure for himself to meet quality requirements of the company and the customer.

2. Ensuring Blasting and painting works are conducted in accordance with technical specification and/ or OEM recommendations

3. Supporting I-Ready with PM and CM of SL Alpha and SL Bravo protective coating and equipment in accordance with maintenance manuals and procedures

4. Supporting of PM and CM tasks (Painting and blasting) to ensure availability of SL Alpha and SL Bravo

5. Ensuring Quality Checks of sandblasting, grinding, painting, re-preserve of all SL Alpha and SL Bravo including equipment in accordance with technical specification

6. Support in the administrative office works

7. Support for other works as per advised by workshop manager and/or immediate supervisor as far as reasonably practicable

Qualifications 

1. ND or Diploma in Building Craft/Materials Engineering or 

2. NTec Craft in carpentry/Building Craft or 

3. Related field or comparable qualification
