ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Candidate Fire Engineer you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems in accordance with local and national codes and regulations. This includes conducting site surveys, performing risk assessments, and creating detailed engineering plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine fire protection needs
- Design and develop fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for fire protection systems
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire safety measures
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire protection technology
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients
REQUIREMENTS
- SAQCC on both handheld and detection
- Drivers License
- 3-5 years as a Fire Technician /Supervisor
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Familiar with all systems and different products.
- Proficient communication both verbally and in writing.
- Problem solving (Excellent)
- Implementation & Compliance with all relevant acts.
