Our product has created quite the buzz, and we need to add a Quality Control Specialist who shares our passion for innovative technology, social impact for good, and the thrill of helping companies grow.

This position will be responsible for the inspection of installed and integrated Smart technologies, inside new condominium builds, ensuring all quality benchmarks meet both corporate and formal standards.             

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall inspection, system integration test efforts and work across teams to ensure completion of all required testing, drive bug management across multiple teams and own the handover process to support.
  • Direct inspection test activities of internal and external test partners including 3rd party integration teams.
  • Communicate & follow up with cross functional teams on test expectations, requirements, and status.
  • Evaluate/introduce/create new inspection and test methodologies to improve test effectiveness and increase coverage.
  • Evaluate and improve effectiveness of test plans around our products and their integration.
  • Characterize and identify issues (hardware, firmware, software, driver etc.) and support cross-team RCAs.
  • Continually improve hardware, software, test knowledge and associated processes
  • Must be able to travel to project sites.
  • Must use PPE at construction sites.
  • Responsible for client demo technology at site before and after project go-live.
  • Write up new test cases and process documents.
  • Continually improve hardware, software, inspection, test knowledge and associated processes and documents.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with inspecting quality and performance of IoT and Smart Devices
  • Knowledge of a programming language
  • Experience writing test scenarios and test cases.
  • Strong audit skills and knowledge with inspecting installed, integrated products, with a preference for testing low voltage systems, smart systems and IOT technologies.  
  • Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.
