Projects Finance Specialist 

Our client is looking to hire a Projects Finance Specialist who has 7-9 years of experience in Project Management field with minimum of 3 years in a similar position/ responsibilities, as follows:

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports that monitor cash flow, identify trends in spending and flag possible accounting errors
  • Monitoring budgets and identifying any variances between projected spending and actual spending to ensure that expenses do not exceed funds available
  • Updating accounting records to reflect changes in revenue or expenses
  • Coordinating with external auditors on issues such as annual audits, internal audits, fraud investigations, or forensic accounting
  • Working with management to develop budgets and forecast future revenue and expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding financial transactions
  • Analyzing project costs and preparing estimates for new projects
  • Reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy and recommending any needed adjustments
  • Calculating the cost of capital expenditures and assessing the appropriateness of investment decisions based on company policies regarding capital spending

Required Skills:

The candidate should be of the following technicalities and competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Information Systems, Engineering or any related field.
  • Significant exposure to joint venture development of mega-projects, commercial & partnership Negotiations, financial modeling, economic evaluations, cash flow & variance analysis, project engineering.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
