Procurement Engineer
Job Description:
- Manage and coordinate the procurement process for engineering projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify procurement needs and specifications.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate terms and contracts.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues, and fostering continuous improvement.
- Prepare and analyze procurement documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), purchase orders, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between procurement activities and project timelines.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
