About the job Business Development Analyst
Were seeking a detail-oriented Business Development Analyst / Proposal Coordinator to join our fast-growing team. This dual-role professional will be instrumental in identifying government contracting opportunities and supporting proposal efforts across the federal acquisition lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines analytical research skills with strong coordination and writing capabilities to help us expand our federal footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification & Market Intelligence
- Track and analyze opportunities via SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, GovWin, HigherGov, and other platforms
- Identify relevant RFIs, Sources Sought, RFPs, and recompetes
- Monitor industry trends and summarize agency priorities and award activity
- Highlight potential teaming and subcontracting opportunities
- CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity records in HubSpot
- Support pipeline reporting and opportunity lifecycle tracking
- Coordinate internally to ensure timely action on federal opportunities
Capture & Proposal Development
- Draft internal opportunity briefs and agency profiles
- Assist in RFI and Sources Sought response development using templates and tailored content
- Organize a centralized library of past performance and proposal materials
- Support proposal formatting, compliance checks, and editorial reviews
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with capture managers and proposal leads to align opportunity strategies
- Participate in calls with teaming partners and internal stakeholders
- Draft capability summaries and support business development presentations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience in federal business development or proposal coordination
- Working knowledge of federal procurement cycles and platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, GSA eBuy)
- Proficient with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot)
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Ability to translate research into actionable summaries and proposals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in tech or defense-focused federal contracting
- Experience supporting full proposal lifecycles and federal submissions
- Familiarity with federal contracting registrations and certifications
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Volume and quality of opportunities added to CRM
- Accuracy of pipeline data and milestone tracking
- Quality and timeliness of RFI responses and proposal input
- Support contributions to overall proposal success rate
