About the Organization: Air Pollution Action Group (A-PAG) was set up in 2019 by Ashish Dhawan (Founder and Chairperson, Ashoka University and Central Square Foundation), Vijay Chadda (previously CEO of Bharti Foundation) and Mohit Beotra (previously Chief Brand Officer of Airtel).
A-PAG is focused on strategic implementation of solutions to combat air pollution. A-PAG works with Government on a pro-bono basis; we have made significant progress with programs at the National as well as State level. Some of our projects are as follows:
1. In Delhi, we are engaged with the Municipal Corporation on a massive program aimed at dispersed sources. This covers all ~250 wards across the city.
2. In Uttar Pradesh (UP) we have programs running in 7 cities across the state. This relationship is expected to be extended to all 17 non-attainment cities in the state. We have recently started a pilot program on EV adoption in NOIDA.
3. As part of our program with Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BPSCB),we are active in Patna, Muzaffarpur & Gaya. Various initiatives are underway to address air pollution across the state of Bihar.
4. We work in Gurgaon & Faridabad in partnership with the Municipal Corporation.
5. We have a PMU based at the Central Pollution Control Board, which is helping CPCB drive effectiveness of the National Clean Air Program (NCAP).
A-PAG works by placing multiple Project Management Units (PMUs) thatwork closely with Government departments to ensure success against air pollution.

About the Role:
A-PAG is now involved with creating a detailed plan for reducing air pollution inDelhi NCR. This plan includes numerous technology solutions ranging from basic dashboards (internal facing for officials, as well as citizen facing) to solutions expected to trigger actions using MI/ML tools. Our intent is to facilitate action by developing these technical solutions on behalf of the Government.
We are seeking a person to oversee these tech development opportunities. AsTechnology Lead, your primary responsibilities are as follows:
1. Scoping requirements: Based on an understanding of the planned program, you will be expected to draw up requirements for the technical solution. This will need you to understand the mitigation program and the exact role of the technical solution. Requirements include UI/UX as well as technical specifications.
2. Management of tech partners: For each solution, you will be expected to identify the correct tech development partner. You will be responsible for ensuring the right price, resources, development plan and will be accountable for ensuring that development timelines are met.
3. Interface with Government officials: Almost all solutions are expected to interface with existing systems to draw data. You will be expected to lead the interface with the relevant official to ensure that the solution being developed is optimized based on systems that it is expected to interact with.
4. Hosting & maintenance: The intention is that once the solution is built, it will be handed over to the relevant Government department. You will be expected to advise the correct hosting solution, and also ensure that appropriate AMCs are put in place.
The role reports directly to the CEO. Currently this is seen as an Individual Contributor role; however, if required 1 person can be added to the team.

Eligibility
1. Strong experience in building and managing software products/solutions.
2. ~15 years of direct experience in managing teams that deliver technical products/solutions.
3. Understanding of advancements in AI/ML and their potentially relevant applications/use-cases is optional but preferred.
4. This is seen as a full-time position; however, for the right person a consultant role can be considered.
