Manager, Finance - Schools x B/Suite

Overview

With the launch of Schools x B/Suite, we are seeking a few dedicated Managers of Financial Oversight to join our expanding team. This role is integral to providing specialized financial management services, driving innovation, and supporting strategic financial planning for our portfolio of client schools.

Responsibilities

• implement and oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Provide audit support, including preparation for and assistance with external audits and Form 990 filings, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulations.
• Lead budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting efforts, applying advanced techniques to predict financial scenarios and guide strategic decisions.
• Administer payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all compensation, benefits, and deductions.
• Manage federal grants, overseeing compliance, optimizing funding use, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the board, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic oversight.
• Work collaboratively with Schools x B/Suite team to align financial goals with educational objectives, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service.

Role Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in accounts payable/receivable, audit support, and budgeting.
• Proven ability in payroll administration and federal grants management.
• Strong background in preparing financial reports for board review and conducting cash flow analysis and forecasting.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems, including Excel and financial modeling tools.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the education sector or non-profit organizations, understanding the specific financial challenges and opportunities within these areas.

B/Suite Requirements for Managers

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in your area of expertise
• Experience as a tactical team member with excellent project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large projects

Compensation

Starting compensation for Manager-level executives is $55/hour. All consultants are 1099 contractors. All executives are eligible for referral bonuses and free coaching and development.
